Sandown is in Southern New Hampshire
About 20 Miles North of Boston.
Date of Sighting: October 8, 2010
Time of Sighting: 1:15 PM EDT
Location of Sighting: Sandown, New Hampshire (See Map)
Description: Listen to Recording of Witness Report (MP3)
The witness called and left a voice-mail message shortly after he experienced his sighting. He said that he is a pilot and saw a very shiny object moving fast (about 5 to 8 times faster than a commercial jet) and flying quite high. The object left no vapor trail and moved southwest to southeast. A second similar object moved across the same path about 60 to 90 seconds later. The witness thought that the objects could be a satellites, but thought that satellites would be dark in the sky rather than shiny.
Note: The witness did not see a satellite. No satellites were visible at that time. Only the International Space Station (ISS) and some Iridium Flare satellites are the only satellites that can be seen during the day and neither were visible at the time and location of the sighting.
