Woman Sights Neon Purple Triangular Object in Night SkyDate of Sighting: May 9, 2010

Location of Sighting: San Jose, California (N. CA About 30 Miles SE of San Francisco)
Description: I had just dropped my friend off at his house near the Alameda and Ii was driving south bound on Saratoga Avenue when a neon purple thing in the sky on my left caught my eye. It's definitive shape was triangular and it was a very bright neon purple color. It did not move like a plane. It sort of looked like it just hovered up and down. I could see it all the way until I reached the fire station on Saratoga. I made my way back home to grab my camera, but by the time I got back to the spot where I last saw it was gone. (It was a 3 minute drive from the fire station to my house.) I was so mad I didn't have my camera! It was definitely not any type of spotlight because it did not have the same kind of light projection you would typically see from a sky spotlight.
