Sighting Reports 2010 Man Sees Airborne Orange Oval Object Through Binoculars
Date of Sighting: October 8, 2010 Description: I was stargazing with my 10 X 50 binoculars near the constellation Cassiopeia (unsuccessfully hunting for the Andromeda galaxy) when an oval object came into my field of view. It was dull orange or red. I think that it was reflecting the street light below. I don't think that the underside was hot or a plasma. It headed in a west to east direction. There were no aviation marker lights or sound. Since I was viewing the object with binoculars I don't really know how big it was. The binoculars were focused on the stars, but the object was in focus. On another night, I looked at a passing airplane for comparison at a really high attitude. If the object was at the same attitude as the plane it would have been same size. With the plane I could also see the same dull orange or red color off it's wings. (I could see wings, fuselage and aviation lights.) Nearby airports would be Los Angeles International Airport in the west, Ontario International Airport to the southeast and El Monte Airport to the northeast. The San Gabriel Mountains are to the north. I live on a hill overlooking the entire San Gabriel Valley. Send Drawings, Photos, or Videos Relating to Your Comments
