Description: Hi William. I hope you are keeping well down there to the south. I thought to share an odd UFO sighting witnessed and photographed over Whitby, Ontario. On Sunday, August 29th 2010 while at home in Oshawa I was in and out tending to a BBQ on the deck. When coming out of the sliding door still inside the house I stopped and noticed something strange in the sky directly west. I could see a round translucent object with a light. I instantly grabbed my camera within 15 seconds after I observed this thing. I took two pictures without zoom and added with two pictures with a 5X zoom . All four pictures were taken at 4:53 PM EDT. I took photos with my Canon SD890 IS 10 MP digital camera. There is photographic evidence of a silver disk shaped object with a bright light on top. It was moving west as I lost sight after about 30-40 seconds while filming. It was nice to see that I at least this caught on film to confirm that I did NOT imagine what I witnessed. Two of the better photos zoomed in illustrate just that! The conditions of the sky were clear with a slight haze as it was not easy to see. I would be quite interested if anyone in Whitby, Ajax or Pickering Townships had witnessed this thing. The distance was quite far (1-2 miles away) and maybe 10,000 -20,000 ft in altitude.

Note: The witness sent all photos (edited and original). I originally thought that the object could be Venus which can be visible in the daylight. However, Venus was in the southern sky at the time of the sighting. Of course the apparent observed movement rules out a planet. The original photos appear to be unedited.
