Location of Sighting: Battle Ground, Washington (See Map)

Description: My husband told me to come outside and he pointed to a light in the sky that was moving. It was larger than the stars and at first I thought it was a planet because it had an orange glow, but it was moving and as it moved it looked like a red light on top of an orange light. What confused my husband is that the object had no sound, but was large enough to be a helicopter. As we were watching the light, an Air Force jet flew by. The object was moving west, then it looked like it was traveling southeast and then it was traveling northwest and had increased in altitude. As it changed it's path it no longer looked like one light, but three. It flickered off into the distance and I watched it as fireworks went off in the foreground. It was still there flickering off into the distance. My husband commented on the unusual flight pattern and the lack of any sound. Have you received any more sightings from our area? Since the Air Force was in the air that night, I thought they may have an answer to the mystery.

Note: The sighting occurred near Portland, Oregon where the Air National Guard has F15 fighter jets set to scramble. This is likely where the jets would have originated, but it is not known if the light was related to military exercises. It doesn't sound like the jet was pursuing the object.
