Woman Sees Flash in Sky. Photo Reveals Object Above Sun.

Blue Point is on the South Shores of Long Island.

Location of Sighting: Blue Point (Long Island), New York (See Map)
Description: The witness called and left a voice-mail message describing her sighting. Her and a friend were walking and noticed a bright flash in the sky. She then snapped two photos about 2 minutes apart. The first photo (see above) showed the sun and an apparent object above the sun. The second photo did not show the object nor the sun. (Clouds had moved over the sun.)
Note: The apparent object is probably a "lens flare" effect produced by reflection of the sun on the lens of the camera.
