Loud Thudding Noise Heard. Weird Orange Light Seen in Sky.

Description: I was laying in bed reading a book and kept hearing a loud thudding noise. I was a bit alarmed and asked my husband to check it out. When he did he called me outside to come look at a weird light in the sky. It was mostly orange, but appeared to be flashing other colors, definitely did not move like a plane it appeared to be going very slow then just disappeared. I am very curious if anyone else has seen it or heard any reports.
