Description: I found your website after looking up the search terms “smoke ring near Cygnet, Ohio. My husband and I were driving southbound on I-75 near Cygnet, Ohio last evening (July 16) when I saw something in the sky to the east. We had binoculars in the car and both viewed the object which had the appearance of a dark colored smoke ring in a somewhat elongated oval shape. The ring was large, but how large is difficult to ascertain. We exited the highway and turned east to attempt to get a better look at the ring, but by the time we were able to get to a clear viewing area the ring had dissolved into nothing more than what appeared to be smoke. The ring looked very much like those on your site in the Heflin photos and those from the truck driver in 2001. I did not have a camera with me so could get no photos. The weather last night was fairly clear and the area where we saw the smoke ring is rural farm ground. There are no industries or military installations nearby that could have generated the object we saw.
