3 Light Colored Horizontal Rectangular Shapes Seen Against a Blue Sky
Huntington Beach is About 25 Miles South-Southeast of Los Angeles.
Date of Sighting: May 30, 2011
Time of Sighting: 7:45 PM PDT
Location of Sighting: Huntington Beach, California (See Map)
Description: I saw at least 3 relatively small (or at great distance) light colored horizontal rectangular shapes against a blue sky near dusk. These things were not close together and no pattern or movement was observed. At the time I thought it looked almost like "holes" in the sky.
Additional Comments Sent by Witness (June 6, 2011): Thank you. I think I should add that even though I was right near the NAS (Naval Air Station) at Los Alamitos, these things appeared to be far away to the west and fairly high in the sky about 45 degrees above the horizon, and did not seem to be related to the NAS. They were not particularly close together with positions north, northwest and west relative to my position. It was notable that each of these objects appeared to be the exact same size, shape and color. The color was the same (or close to the same) as the clouds that were present. I wish I had had a camera.
Note: The sighting occurred right next to the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Facility. This does not mean that the sighting was the result of military activities.
