Still Image Extracted From Video Clip Showing Lights Over Ocean.

Kure Beach is Along the Atlantic Coast of Southeastern North Carolina.

Location of Sighting: Kure Beach, Florida (See Map)

Description: My family and I observed up to four white to orange to red lights that suddenly appeared and then disappeared after several seconds. All, but the first sighting was captured on cell camera and DV camcorder. The lights look red on film. The lights were over the ocean looking east about 10 degrees above the horizon, appearing as far left as 045 degrees (northeast ).

Update - May 20, 2011: The witness sent the video footage of the airborne lights which were seen over the ocean to the east of his location. A short segment has been extracted from the video and shown above. The lights described by the witness do appear in the video. However, it is difficult to determine much detail or movement from the footage. Some (or all) of the movement could be due to camera movement. UFOS Northwest thanks the witness for taking the time to send the video.

Comments Received May 25, 2011: My husband and neighbor saw the very same sighting in Kure Beach at the exact same time as reported by this family. They were flabbergasted by it and their views changed forever about UFOs. I will suggest they both submit a comment to your sight.
