Laguna Beach is Along the Coast of Southern California
About 40 Miles South of Los Angeles.

Description: I saw a strange light at Laguna Beach, CA, over the houses. It didn't seem to be attached to anything and it wasn't moving or flashing. It was just hanging there with a strange glow that it was making in the mist, like you see on the photos. There also was another strange glow to the left. You can see it in both photos. These were not a creation of the camera, but it looked just like this in the sky with the strange aura. I was with 5 other friends on a trip to the beach and we all saw it. We stood for a time trying to figure out if it was a light on a pole from someone's house, but it was way too high in the sky. It was too small to be the moon and too big to be a star and it stayed in one position too much to be a plane. It was a very misty evening as you can see and it shined even through that.

Note: The light is not the moon, the sun or a star. The moon was not visible at the time of sighting, the sun set about 6 PM (would have been very low on the horizon), and stars would not visible at that time. Skies were heavily overcast with cloud bases at 600 feet. Visibility was 3 miles.
