Sighting Reports 2011 Strange Artifacts Show Up on Game Camera Photos
Date of Sighting: March 25, 2011 Description: The witness sent the anomalous photos last week. At my request he took a daytime photo of the site and provided some additional details. The witness has mounted the game camera about 100 feet from his house. He has been using the camera to detect game for several months and photos taken on March 25, 2011 (see above) are only photos showing these anomalies. Camera Specifications: The witness used a Wild Game Innovations Model D8 camera. This camera has a dual flash (visible and infrared) and is sensitive to "near infrared wavelengths. According to the witness the camera is activated and set up to take a photo when it detects motion. The following information was listed by an online merchant: This digital game camera from Wild Game Innovations features a dual flash infrared and strobe 40' range, 64 MB of onboard memory, and accommodates up to an 8 GB SD (not included) card to store images on. It also offers a large TFT color programming screen that allows you to view the photos or videos right on the camera. Note: I don't know what the anomalies on the above photos are. The second photo shows some white orbs. Sometimes these are seen at night when the camera flash illuminates dust particles or other atmospheric constituents (rain, snow, etc). However, why did this "white orb" material and other anomalies only show up on this one night? A check of weather at the time of the photos showed that winds were 6 MPH from the northeast. Skies were clear and no fog was reported. The relative humidity was 65 to 70 percent which supports the observation that no ground fog was present. The temperatures recorded on the above photos were consistent with those measured at a nearby weather station. Comments Received June 19, 2011: After looking at picture again you can see the spray from sprinkler from right bottom going diagonally to the upper left corner. It must have sprayed the lens of camera at some point to create those orbs. Its just one of those sprinklers that moves in a arc when spraying. UFOS Northwest Response to Above Comment: The commenter makes a good point. The witness has been contacted to find out if a sprinkler is located near the camera mount. Updates will be posted. Response Received From Witness on June 20, 2011: YES, THERE WERE SPRINKLERS ON PART OF THE TIME, BUT ONLY SHOW IN 9 OF 29 PICTURES. IN ALL THE PICTURES WITH THE SPRINKLER ON, THE OBJECTS ARE CLEARLY SHOWN EXCEPT WHERE BLOCKED BY WATER CAUSED ORBS. THIS IS THE FIRST THING PEOPLE COME UP WITH. FOLKS NEED TO THINK OUT OF THE BOX. REALLY GLAD TO HEAR SOME RESPONSES. I WOULD LIKE TO COMPARE NOTES WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS SEEN THEM, OR BETTER YET SOMEONE WHO HAS PICTURES. I TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORTS. UFOS Northwest Update - June 20, 2011: This update incorporates the new information provided by the witness on June 20. I believe that the anomalies in the photo at the top of the page are probably reflections of objects off of water droplets that have collected on the camera lens. The orbs in the second photo above are probably water droplets from the sprinkler system. Send Drawings, Photos, or Videos Relating to Your Comments
