Large Tilted "Saucer Shaped" Cloud Seen Over Mountains.
San Gabriel is in Southern California
About 15 Miles East-Northeast of Los Angeles.

Description: At approximately 9:00 AM a large, tilted saucer shaped cloud was seen in the northwest sky above the San Gabriel mountains. What was strange about this sighting was that the sky was completely clear at this time, with no noticeable wind. There were no other clouds in the sky. Simultaneously two jets could be seen heading for the cloud. One was coming from the east and one from the west. It appeared as if the jets were attempting to intercept the cloud. In a matter of 4, minutes the cloud disappeared and all that remained was the jets contrail. Again skies were completely clear and there was no wind.
Note: The witness may have seen a lenticular cloud. Lenticular clouds are common over mountains and can disappear and reappear. They are of saucer or "lens" shape.
