The Whole Sky Illuminates in Blue Led Color, Then Turns Green
Santa Barbara is Along the California Coast
About 100 Miles Northwest of Los Angeles.

Description: I was outside in the col de sac talking to my sister. Out of nowhere the whole sky illuminated in blue led color. Thinking that it must have been lightning, I looked up and that is when the color turned green. The light sighting lasted a whole of 5 to 10 seconds. Just as fast as it came, it vanished, with the sound of an school tube tv turning off. Zuoop! The weirdest part is that our street light when out simultaneously with the leaving of the light.
Note: At the time of the sighting skies were cloudy with cloud bases measured at 8,000 feet. The temperature was 48 degrees Fahrenheit. There was no known lightning in the area.
