2 See Explosion in Sky & Jets Were Seen in Area

Location of Sighting: On I-82 Between Selah & Ellensburg, WA (See Map)
Description: My mother and I were traveling toward Yakima on I-82 (the freeway between Ellensburg & Yakima) when a light exploded in the sky to the left of the freeway. We went around the corner in the hills and to the left. We saw two sets of three lights that looked like they were outlines of jets or something and suddenly they flew almost straight up and disappeared at slightly different angles. We both screamed because they did not fly away. They just disappeared and the movement was not normal and they were not in an area where planes are usually seen. We were very close to the military area that is inaccessible to the public. Neither of us have ever seen anything like it.
Note: The exploding light and jets were within the Yakima Firing Range which is an area where military maneuvers are frequent.
