About 10 Miles West of Tampa.

Description: These three photos were taken from my cell phone on 10-15-2011 in St Petersburg, FL 33716 in a Winn Dixie Parking lot. You can even see people pointing to them and I didn't even realize until I starting showing the pictures of the amazing purple sky to people I worked with this morning. This 3rd one is so amazing you can see such clear detail when you zoom in on it. I am going down to the spot tonight and see if I can capture more. My cell phone seems to quick enough to capture great details.

Note: The photos show mid to high cloudiness. Ironically the local weather observations do not indicate any cloudiness. Perhaps the clouds were high (at least 20,000 feet) which means that the automated weather stations wouldn't be able to detect them? Sunset was at 7:10 PM EDT (about 10 minutes before the photos were taken).

Comments Received October 17, 2011: On October 15, 2011 at 11:30 PM I saw the same triangular lights that were reported earlier that evening in St. Petersburg, Florida. I live in Sarasota & saw triangular lights in the southern sky. They traveled slowly from west to east and then faded away.
