Man Sees Football Shaped Object Ascend, Hover & Zip Away Horizontally

About 4 Miles South-Southeast of Los Angeles International Airport.

Description: I noticed the clouds were not moving all day. I saw from the southeast, a small object flying vertical. I thought it was a balloon until it stopped. I squinted as hard as I could to focus on it. It looked like a metallic football shaped object with streamlined angles on the sides. Again, I thought it was a balloon or something. Then it zoomed horizontally across the sky very quickly in an easterly direction and disappeared into the cloud. I couldn't believe it.
Note: The weather observation from Los Angeles International Airport showed that there were a few clouds with cloud bases at 3,800 feet, scattered clouds at 9,000 feet and also at 25,000 feet. Visibility was 10 miles and winds were from the west-southwest at 14 mph.
