Couple See Large Light From Sail Boat

Description (In Witnesses Own Words): I have reported this sighting some years ago to MUFON. We were near the British Virgin Islands aboard a sailboat, 9 pm, clear, beautiful night sky. My wife and I lying in the cockpit just looking at the beauty of the stars when out of the east a brightly lit object approached directly off the stern at a 40 degree angle. The object abruptly stopped and remained stationary directly off the stern of the boat for approximately a minute. There was absolutely no movement or sound! The more I observed the object, I felt it was closer than I first thought. The object then quickly moved to the west, reversed course to the east and at a high rate of speed made a 90 degree turn (right angle) to the north and disappeared! It gave no appearance of an airplane or helicopter! It moved at a very high rate of speed, turned at right angles and made no sound!

Investigator's Notes:  This is a new report.  I have emailed the witness and asked some follow-up questions.  The witness has not responded to my email.  Based on preliminary information it sounds like the object executed maneuvers not possible for conventional aircraft.
