Description (In Witness's Own Words): This was told to me by my now dead mother. She was a realtor & waiting to show a cottage east of Wheatley. It got dark & she saw lights in the sky get close & then enter the water. She said the water glowed & then about 10 min later then water started to glow brighter & the UFO came out of the water & flew off without a sound. I know the general area--it was high cliffs & is fairly remote to other cottages.

Investigator's Notes: This is a "he says she says" sighting in that the witness has relayed information from someone else. (The witness was the mother of the person who reported the sighting.) The sighting must have had a dramatic effect on the witness. Reports of objects entering and leaving the water or vice versa have been reported in the UFO literature, but are not commonplace. Presumeably the object must have entered and left Lake Erie given the proximately of the water to the witness location. I have been unable to contact the witness to obtain more details about the sighting.
