Sighting Reports Previous to 1990 Man's Father Photographs Alien Beings at Wright-Patterson Field(Report Courtesy Brian Vike, Director hbccufo@telus.net) Ohio - circular craft and small creatures filmed at WRIGHT FIELD IN DAYTON -- In 1957 my father took me to see a movie called Earth Versus the Flying Saucers. On the way home he was unusually quiet. Finally he said, "They were too big." He then told me that ten years earlier he had been stationed at Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio, where he was part of a film unit. One day an officer came and told him and another man to grab a couple of 16 mm movie cameras and follow him. He took them to a heavily guarded hanger. Inside was a badly damaged circular craft and about an acre of debris placed on a canvass tarp. My father and his friend were instructed to get footage on everything. They did so. They, then, were taken into a refrigerated unit at the rear of the hanger, inside the unit was what my father described as a museum case holding the bodies of two small gray creatures, thin with large eyes but no eyelids. One showed some severe wounds, the other had no visible injuries. They were instructed to get footage of the creatures. When the case was opened to allow a better shot, there was a smell similar to dead fish. When they had finished filming the cameras were confiscated instead of being taken back to the lab for processing. My father said he and his friend were literally sworn to secrecy. My father only spoke of this to me that one time and I promised never to tell anyone. Since he recently passed away, I feel I am now at liberty to relate his story. My father was very patriotic and very religious and not prone to making things up. Out of respect for his privacy and mine I submit this report anonymously. Date of Sighting: November, 1979 Note: Witness consented to use of his name in this report. Description: Mike Reilly saw a globe, perhaps twice the size of a US bowling ball (maybe 18 inches in diameter), emitting a VERY bright blue light but NO SOUND, nor odor, and it hovered in front of me, 10-15 feet away, about 5 feet off of the ground, and then left my locale at incredible speed, leaving a blue trail of light in my vision, over the nearby hills and out of sight in a second---not more than 1 1/2 seconds--this is the condensed version, but contains all relevant detail. Additional Information Provided by Witness: I was delivering papers that night/morning, and I had to get out of the car and walk to a porch as it was hard to see. As I was walking back to my car, the entire area became lit up with blue light. I turned around and spotted this blue sphere moving over the house, maintaining a constant distance above the roof and moving slowly, certainly not the flight path of something thrown from the other side of the house, nor something "flying"---no sound, nor smells. I came down and hovered right in front of me, 5 feet off the ground and 15-20 feet from me. It seems to me that as soon as I began actually "thinking" again, after my initial shock & awe, it sensed my inquisitiveness and then took off at high speed, going over the horizon past the top of the hill, and it was really fast. Anything that could do that obviously did not have to deal with gravity or acceleration forces. (The speed would have squashed anything inside.) I never saw anything again, but sometimes wonder what the heck it was. It makes me positive that we are not alone, but nothing exciting happened, just that it broke all the "rules." Investigator's Notes: This case fits into the category of close encounters. Most orb or sphere sightings are red in color. The witness also describes a blue trail emission from the light as it departed. Both of these factors make this sighting more unusual. This case falls into the unidentified category and no investigation can be done due to the fact that the sighting occurred over 25 years ago.
