Location of Sighting: Huntsville, Texas
Date of Sighting: January 2, 2022
Time of Sighting: 6 PM CST
Description: Hello. My name is Rodrick and I live in Huntsville, TX. I took this photo a couple of days ago. It was about 6 PM. I noticed something, but I paid it no attention at first then I look up again and I see these lights that don’t look familiar.
Note: The witness implies in his report that he didn’t actually see the lights, but later found them in a photo. He reported the sighting 2 days later. The lights could be some sort of reflection (perhaps from ground lights). However, this an educated guess on my part. There is no direct evidence that the lights are reflections.

I could always be wrong, but I believe these are lens flares from the two bright parking lot lights over the top of the building. This can be confirmed with location info to check on Google Earth daytime. This is similar to previous reports and one I commented on. The two right and left lights in the sky will match the (bright over exposed) parking lot lights.
For my analysis > draw a straight line from the bright light on the left of building top to the 3 lights in the sky on the right. Then draw a straight line from the bright light on top right corner of building to the 4 lights in the sky on the left. The two lines drawn will intersect at a right angle at the middle point of both lines. This middle point will also be the (very close) center of the curved camera lens. It’s off of the image center point by a small amount probably due to the image being possibly cropped on the right side a small amount? This is a cell phone image, but to find the center of the photo > draw 2 straight lines connecting the diagonal corners. Where they intersect in the middle is the center of the curved lens if image is not cropped on one side.
Here is a good link to lens flares with photos similar to postings from the past and recent: >https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lens_flare
The human eye is like a camera lens and (although I don’t recall seeing one) some people can have a lens flare within their eyes. Info links : >https://www.woodhamseye.com/blog/why-does-human-vision-have-no-lens-distortion-like-most-cameras-do

After seeing enough of these I can almost immediately (without drawing lines) tell that it is a lens flare. Thanks, hope this is helpful.
Thanks for your comments. Lens flares explain a lot of UFO’s where people take photos and later find UFO’s in the background.
