Description: Hello, I found your site quite by accident, it is very interesting and informative. I can appreciate all the work that has gone into collecting the information you present. Unfortunately, I have no photos or files to substantiate what I say, but it feels good to know there are others out there with similar experiences.
The incident I describe below occurred sometime in the mid to late 1970’s. That’s why I did not enter a correct date. At the time, I felt no one took my story serious, and no one else reported seeing anything I described, so I stopped talking about it. This is the first time I relate my experience since the night it happened.
I had just closed our business in downtown Hudson at 8 PM. What I observed while driving home on that dark (no moon) night is still imprinted in my mind as clear as the night it happened.
Joslen Blvd is a small county back road lined on both sides with very large old trees (have since been replaced) and neighborhood homes. Driving toward the junction on Harry Howard Ave. (approximately 1/4 mi away) toward Joslen I had an unobstructed view of what unfolded before me.
I saw two very large round bright white lights; what appeared to be landing lights of a large aircraft, descend over a house from the northeast side on Joslen Blvd. I was sure a plane was about to crash. I stopped my car and opened the window, but there was no noise.
The lights then came down and, in unison, hovered just above the road for a second, then followed the road to the junction; at which point they rose straight up, like a Harrier jet, and darted away over the trees toward the east. The whole thing happened fast, maybe only a matter of seconds.
If what I saw was a plane, there would have been sound. The lights did not illuminate the surroundings as normal lights would. The road under and ahead remained dark! The wing span of a plane would never have cleared those trees, or move with such acute control and speed.
I don’t know what it was that I saw that night, nor did I ever see such a thing again. But, I surely will never forget. If anyone takes the time to read what I have written. Thanks, if not, it’s OK.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting. Be detailed in your description.
