3 Glowing Red-Orange Orbs Ascend, Descend & Vanish.

Location of Sighting: Gulfport, Florida
Date of Sighting: June 26, 2017
Time of Sighting: 9 PM EDT

Description: Last night at around 9 PM I first spotted a glowing red/orange orb that was to my Southeast as I left my 4th story condo to make a quick trip downstairs. When I returned to my balcony, about 5 minutes later I saw two more. They both seemed to shoot upward within a few seconds of each other, but they were not parallel. I stayed out a few minutes watching them hover, and then one by one, they started slowly descending until they were not visible through the clouds. I wouldn’t have even said anything, but then somebody on a Gulfport, Florida Facebook page posted the following, so I know it wasn’t just me!

“Did anyone notice the 2 large reddish orbs in the night sky, about 9 PM, towards Ft DeSoto? They were widely spaced and not parallel with each other. I was standing at the basketball court at the rec center when I saw this. They were hovering at an unusual angle to each other. I looked down at my camera, looked up and one was gone.”

He saw two, I saw three, but I am sure we were looking at the same thing. Do you have any thoughts? Was this potentially a UFO sighting?

Additional Comments From Witness: I looked at some footage of Chinese lanterns and they don’t really resemble what I saw. The shape seems wrong. But I also looked at images from flare guns shooting up and descending slowly and that might very well have been what I was looking at.

Note: The description from both witnesses fits Chinese Lanterns.
