Location of Sighting: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Date of Sighting: September 3, 2018
Time of Sighting: 9:10 PM MDT
Description: I have been seeing these discs for the past two years. To the naked eye they appear as bright stars, but I have a Nikon 83X zoom lens, and have photographed them many times. Last night I saw five in the night sky like the image attached. They are very difficult to photograph because they appear to be spinning or pulsating. I have videoed a spinning “top” that has two rings of lights around it.
Note: The witness references a video, but only sent the above photo.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting. That’s just an out of focus star image. If the witness actually used a 83X zoom lens, that’s the end result when it’s not in focus. The spinning or pulsating effect is caused by atmospheric movement & it’s amplified by the high magnification.
Yes, I have seen that same affect on many other photos.
