Time of Sighting: 4 PM EDT
Description: At first I saw two orange lights in the sky. It was hard to tell how large they were, but I thought it was a couple of airplanes. Then another dropped slowly out of the sky, after a few seconds another appeared and one of the first two disappeared. In the end I counted about 6 lights, but trees got in the way, as I was driving. I looked for them as I crossed the bridge to Portsmouth. But I saw no sign of them. They were silent. They were dropping out of a very low cloudy sky. They were very sharp looking images. There was nothing fuzzy or indistinct. My wife (who was with me in the car) thought they might be embers falling from something that had exploded above the clouds. They looked almost like the embers that fall from fireworks. It was late in the afternoon on a grey day, but still, plenty of light. The lights were very distinguishable from the clouds. They were slowly falling and disappearing.
