Description: Last night, October 8 2016, I was in my backyard when the first one appeared. I couldn’t wrap my head around what I was looking at. I live in Overland Park, Kansas, and the first orange orb seemed to rise above the trees and appear out of nowhere. At first I thought it was a drone or Chinese Lantern because my brain was trying to make sense of what I was seeing. I ran inside to get my phone and ran out the front door to see if it was still there. Another one appeared and I literally ran to my neighbor’s house at 10:30 at night and rang their bell. I needed another witness. They ended up seeing 4 of the 6 that I saw. These objects were super bright orange orbs that were moving at the same pace and trajectory across the clear night sky. They were about 35 degrees off of the horizon moving from the southwest to the northeast. I have pictures and video to prove and there were three of us to witness. No, we hadn’t been drinking! You can hear how frantic I was in the video. Did anyone else in this area witness this? It was surreal.
Additional Comment From Witness: These pictures are horrible when it comes to reflecting what I saw in real life! Plus I was shaking trying to film. They were so big and so bright there is no way we were the only ones who saw them. I can’t imagine!

I saw them too! We were driving up 51/Broadway heading North and they were east of 75th and Broadway. I was trying to get my husband to pull over so we could see them better, but he was in a hurry. They were definitely not airplanes. They were orange and hovering in a way planes/helicopters don’t.
