Description: I was on my way home and I saw a small drone like object about 5 meters above my head. I stopped to have a better look. At first I thought it was a children's toy, but it started moving at a medium pace out of any range that a children's toy would have. I looked around to see if there was anybody with a remote control, but there was nobody at all. I followed it and it kept hovering over me. It was small with green and red lights coming from it and it made a high pitch noise. It was rotating on an axis almost like it was observing it's surroundings. I thought this is weird so I got my phone and recorded it. Then suddenly after I stopped recording it shot up in the sky at unbelievable speeds out of sight.

Update - April 13, 2014 (More Witness Information): No, I have never seen anything like this before. It took about 6 seconds for it to fly into the atmosphere. I can accept that it is some sort of governmental drone, but it was just hovering over the bridge over the railway which just makes me think 'why'?

Note: This does appear to be some sort of flying drone. However, the abrupt departure vertically at unbelievable speeds casts some doubt on the "drone" explanation.

Also, notice the camera is recording the image with street level to the right side of the frame. As the “object” gets closer, it gets larger in apparent size, as it should, but I didn’t notice any evidence of it departing vertically. If the camera had been positioned correctly, the object would have simply flown out of the frame directly overhead.

As I thought I already commented. This is interesting, but too little to go on.

Peculiar, but too little to go on for a legitimate investigation, I think.
