Description: My son-in-law and daughter were sitting outside (it is cloudy) and they saw a very fast moving, green (flame like) object fall straight down (to the northeast of our location towards Washington, DC) It did not dart across the sky. It fell straight down. (They took no pictures or video as it happened very quickly.)
Note: A check of the American Meteor Society website (www.amsmeteors.org) revealed that there were 59 meteor sightings in Virginia and surrounding states around the time that the witness saw the object.
