April 8, 2013 – Kapolei, Hawaii – 5:30 PM HST

Description: Yesterday after work I drove to the west side of the island to meet up with friends. Traffic was backed up so our posted 55 was more like 35 to 40 MPH. While continuing west there is a part that allows you to see the islands beauties as it takes you to higher elevation. Upon staring we could see a good 15 to 20 miles. Pearl Harbor was in my view. I noticed an aircraft about 500 to 1000 feet. It seemed to me that it was off the ground and was landing! Not thinking of it I kept watching it and it didn’t seem like it was getting farther or smaller. I watched this plane for over a minute glancing at the road then the plane! As I watched I realized it was a dull green military cargo plane and it just hovered and it kind of blew my mind!! It took me until today to realize that this plane had no sound at all! I am kicking myself right now for not shooting a video from my phone and pulling over!
