August 15, 2012 – Redding, California – Around 6:40 AM PDT

Description: It was strange looking size unknown. The motion of the object looked to not be moving east. The color looked like a brownish bronze maybe. I beleve there was a lot of smoke in the air which is why I could take the photos that morning.

Note: The witness didn’t elaborate on the photo. The photo was taken on a morning when smoke from probable wild fires dimmed the Sun enough so photos could be taken directly into the Sun. The official weather observation revealed that visibility was 6 miles in smoke at the time that the photo was taken. It appears like there is small object in front of the Sun, but this could be a camera artifact. Sunrise was 6:20 AM which is about 20 minutes before the photo was taken.
