Description: We spent the night in our field across from our home in WV and our kids were in the tent. It was around 1 AM and my wife and I sat at the fire and then a bright light came over the trees from the north to the south. It was a ball shape and moved very slow overhead and it made no noise whatsoever. It seemed to stop overhead. It was kind of big, but I could not tell you how big it was. Then it seemed to move away from us and then we looked at one another and noticed that the fire has almost gone down and we thought this funny. So I put more wood on the fire and my wife checked the girls. I noticed my socks were soaked so I changed into some dry ones in the tent. We both went to the fire pit to warm ourselves and thought it funny at what just happened and by now it was almost 2 AM and we thought later on how fast time went by. We just stood there until it was almost day light keeping the fire going and then went to bed in the tent. When I got up the next morning by 7 AM or so, my wife had the camp site cleaned and was ready to go home. She never does this. It was always me, but this time she wanted to get home. As time went on we talked about it and told others, but they just smiled at us. We don’t drink, smoke or do drugs whatsoever! (This is just for the record.) But it was so weird. I am a Vietnam veteran and also was an EMT, a EMS dispatcher, and director of communications for Doddridge county EMS. We go to church and live a simple life style and keep to ourselves. Up to this point my wife thought it was all stories crazy people say to get attention. Now we both have a different outlook on whatever it was. We did not see any people in it nor did it make any noise or shoot down a beam or any of that stuff. As for the size I am not sure, but I would guess it was bigger then a VAN, but round and floated like a balloon. It was not until a few days later we talked about it. I also noticed I could see the image even going over the Middle Island Creek just over the trees, then took off as fast as fast could be and then took a left towards Salem, WV 12 miles from West Union. There is not much more to say, but we still look all the time and we are kind of in fear!

Update (Oct 20, 2013) – Report Written by Investigator Bradford Evans PhD (Conducted Phone Interview With Witness):

Date of Sightings: August 17, 2013
Time of Sighting: 1 AM
Location of Sighting: West Union Virginia

UFO and Possible Missing Time: The family was camping on some wooded property. The weather was clear, not a cloud in the sky, and they could see the stars. The witness and his wife had just put their children to bed and were warming themselves by the campfire when an object slowly floated toward them from the south, just above treetop level. The object was both dim and very bright – “like the full moon.” It was white and estimated to be the size of a van. The object made no sound. They watched it for about ten seconds before it stopped and hovered overhead. The next thing they knew the object moved off toward the south then accelerated very fast and shot away toward the left.

Afterward, he and his wife noticed that the fire had burned down to charcoals. They checked the time, and thirty-five or forty minutes had passed. Strangely, their feet and lower pant legs were wet. They could not account for this as the weather was clear and dry. Afterward the couple felt very restless. In the morning, the witnesses’ wife packed up early, eager to go home. They have not returned to the site since the event.

Possible Implants: The witness reported that after that night he and his wife noticed BB-sized objects beneath their skin — in his right arm and her left ear respectively. The objects, which have not caused any pain or discomfort, remain in place.

Note: The witness is a retired professional and combat veteran. He came across as no nonsense sort of guy and very credible. UFOs NW is awaiting photographs of the objects under their skin.

Update (October 23, 2013) More Information Received From Witness: Dear Mr. Evans:
I also enjoyed our talk on this matter, I also would like any information on us you may post if any in times to come. Here are a few more things I am going to say to you and do with it as you may! We will send you the pictures of my arm and the small hard objects that are now on our bodies. I am not sure how my wife is going to deal with all this. It has taken a toll on her as on me also as we are lacking sleep and we look out my window when it gets dark. We both had a small rash on our right arm next to the elbow and my wife’s ears got fat and bled and then a smaller bump appeared? That day you called us we were with a local law enforcement officer, his family and our kids at a camp site 45 minutes from our home. After we hung up and he began to talk and were asking our law enforcement officer friend questions on this subject at which time my wife said she had pictures of the night of our sighting on our field. It appears that my wife tried to film the Object coming at us and she got about 5 seconds of it and you can hear my yell something like OH S*** here it comes? At which tine her cell phone went dead. We had forgot all about it and never thought about it until yesterday when we talked and that is when it came back to us. We will also send you a copy of this and do with it as you wish! We are not sure what it is, but it made us all scared. We played the video several times and the police didn’t smile, but you guys are the experts and I hope it is nothing. I hope it’s a giant light bug or something that can be explained so this fear will go away. As a volunteer firefighter, working EMS and as a US Army veteran working RECON with 101st airborne I like to think I have some kind of brain cells to gather information and have a clear mind and thoughts, but in those moments so much happened. The rash, the fire and time loss and how we were wet and shoes off and a lot of dumb crap not worth talking about. It is kind of getting to us. We do have some sleepless nights, but no visions or any weird dreams, but I do get mad faster then I used to as is my wife. It seems like we kind of walk in a daze, but not like zombies and one last thing: We think it is funny that we now have the same dreams?? They are not bad ones, but very similar.

I am done for now, but if we get anymore crazy thoughts, we will may get back to you?? And for the record WE ARE NOT CRAZY. If you spent time with us you will see we are average Americans with a family and enjoy GOD and church and have taken a lot of CRAP from others!!

Witness Explanation of Video: We are sure it was the bright light, the bigger one! We do not remember what the other lights were we are only aware of the bright light. I am not sure if you got any sound on any of the film. My wife’s cell phone for some reason seemed to be better or maybe you did receive sound? Like I said we all, but forgot we had filmed that object. (My wife did as i stood in fear) until our law enforcement friend was looking at the pictures with us after I talked to you. That is when it came back to us? As for the two objects I am not aware of what they are and why it was filmed? Even now we try to think and rethink about that night.

Witness Explanation of Photos Where Incident Occurred: The picture on the left is facing south and is of our field from across the street from our home, and is the direction the object took to get to us on that night. The second picture is the house to the left of the trees where the object came over from the top of almost dead center of these two very larger trees that night. We thought at first it was going to hit the trees as we stood and watched. The 3rd picture is of the camp site we have used for years and where we stood looking at the trees which is facing north and you can see the camp fire pit in the picture center by the tables and the tent was just to the left of the trampoline close the white chair in picture. The object then took off right over the old bridge and if you look at the mountains that are in the back ground, this is where it took off really fast and then shot to the left and was gone that fast. The object was headed towards the town of Salem, WV. The last picture is of my right elbow and if you look between the tattoo and my elbow you will see the lump that is real hard and was there after the rash left. We both thought it was like poison ivy from the creek and cutting fire wood?? Now the video we are sending you is not as good as it is on the cell phone and my wife can’t seem to get the sound to work on the computer to send it to you, but it works on her phone?
