Location of Sighting: Coal City, Illinois
Date of Sighting: August, 2010
Time of Sighting: 12 AM CDT
Description: My friend and I witnessed a UFO in Morris/Coal City in the sky above Lorenzo Road and Dresden Road. We both had horses and boarded them at the stable/farm near the intersection of Lorenzo and Dresden. The farm is a hay farm so there are several acres of hay fields. On really hot summer days we would go and ride the horses at night in the fields. So we ride out into the fields like usual. We do it so much that the horses never spook or wig out. There were bushes and trees along the parameter that we were riding on. All of sudden my friend’s horse starts to freak out from something rustling in the bushes, darts off, throws my friend and then runs away. I’m still on my horse at this point so I chase after to catch her. She runs into her own stall. So we put the horses away and are sitting outside on a picnic table. Out of the corner of my eye to the left, I notice a bright orange light hovering up from a field on the other side of the barn. It rises up over the stable and just kind of hangs out for a minute and then boom! The light just zooms North which is the direction towards my house. I have never in my whole entire life seen anything so fast. I leave for home at about 12 AM or so feeling shaken. I live by a lot of fields and it’s pitch black on the roads at night. I’m driving and there is no one on the road besides me. I look in the sky and see that orange light hovering over the fields to my left. It was moving parallel to the ground and then poof! It vanishes into the night. I have never been so scared in my life.
