SKETCH OF ORBS THAT WITNESS SAID WERE SIMILAR TO WHAT SHE SAW.
Description: This report was from UFO blogger Brian Vike. The witness is commenting on a report previously submitted to one of Brian Vike’s blogs.
Hi Brian:
I just found your blog because I was searching for posts from others who may have seen something like I did last night. Here is the link to the post I read – http://canadaufo.blogspot.com/2013/01/three-redorange-lights-traveling-across.html
I noticed you asked for similar reports to be shared with you. (By the way, I am attaching a photo that is NOT mine, just one I found online that looks similar to what I saw). Well last night I saw something very similar. In fact this is my first UFO sighting though I have never been very skeptical about them I just had not seen any for myself until last night at about 9:15 pm PST outside of Tucson Arizona. The sighting was in Cascabel, Arizona to be precise.
I was riding my bike on our 300 acre property rental (this is a very rural location). My partner was ahead of me on his. We were headed to our tent to sleep out for the night because of heat and because I sleep better outdoors.
I happened to notice lights in the sky over my left shoulder so I stopped to look. It was incredible. I tried to call to my partner to come back to look, but he was too far off at that point to hear me and they lights quickly disappeared.
They were in the sky above a neighbor’s house which is about half a mile from us on the other side of the road. They were pretty low, but not a ways above the house. It’s hard for me to guess the altitude, but I would say I have seen one of our neighbor’s fly his small plane at that altitude and sometimes military planes fly low like that, but not often.
Anyway this wasn’t flying, it was more like hovering and bouncing around a little. There were three lights, like large balls of fire. They were larger than lights on any aircraft I have seen and very bright. It was a full moon, but the lights were still extremely bright, brighter than anything else in the sky, even than the moon. They were mostly orange in color, but sort of reddish orange.
At first glance there were a few lights in a cluster and then I just saw one and then it disappeared somewhat slowly like a fading into the sky. And then the two others appeared near it. The two were closer together and farther from that first light. Then the first light came back (again like a fading effect, this time fading back on) and all three were hovering in a group, a sort of triangle, with the two balls of light on the left closer together and the third off to the right and a little lower in the sky.
The two together glowed in an out as well. They all stayed ‘on’ and bright for a little bit. I am not sure how long maybe half a minute, a minute. I don’t know how long I was staring. I was dumbfounded, just staring at it. And I can’t remember how many times they may have faded off and then back on, not many, maybe just a couple of times before they faded away completely. I looked for a little while to see if they would come back on. But I didn’t wait a long time because I wanted to catch up with my partner to tell him. So when we both looked back in that direction we didn’t see it again. Right after they faded away completely I thought I saw a tiny white light where they had been, like a star, but moving.
Also again the lights did not seem to be moving through the sky traveling anywhere. They moved around some, but it was more like a hovering, in one area, but there was movement. Sort of a bouncing movement, but I don’t remember that aspect well enough to describe it.
The lights were also very large and very round, like balls. They were larger than any lights I have ever seen on any kind of aircraft (commercial, private, military, drone, or helicopter and we get all of those through here). And the way they just appeared out of nowhere. There were some clouds, but not thick and very sparse, not even to provide cover for lights like that and there were only some clouds in the sky. It was otherwise clear. I watched long enough to be sure it hadn’t just gone behind a cloud, because if it had it stayed there, but again that’s not what it looked like and it didn’t seem like the clouds were thick enough either. And then the lights disappeared as easily as they had appeared.
I can’t say if the lights seemed to be connected to each other. I seem to remember them looking like they were moving separately from one another, but staying together. I am not sure as that effect may have been because of one light fading out while the others faded in. And the movement that happened was so odd. It is just hard to relate to anything I have ever seen in the sky or otherwise.
It was a totally unique event for me. It was just incredible. And I don’t know if this makes sense, but it sort of felt like it noticed me notice it and that’s why it went away. This sounds crazy, but the behavior was like that.
When I looked this up today online I found some photos and video that to me do look like what I saw, except that my sighting was on a dark blue sky (full moon out) rather than a black sky. (Of course that could be how the photo shows them as well.) I did not have any kind of recording equipment with me unfortunately and no other witnesses that I know of yet. (I haven’t talked to the neighbors yet). And the whole event was probably just a couple of minutes or less. So there was no time to go back to get anything.
I noticed the post I found on your blog was from 2013 and on some other websites it sounded like there were similar sightings in excess in 2012. Have you heard of any of these lately?
I am attaching a photo I found online that looks similar to what I saw. But not in this formation and again there was just 3 lights total. Again this is NOT my photo. It is just something to show as a way to help describe what I saw.
Thank you for your time.
Note: The witness description really fits Chinese Lanterns. Many people are now launching these and I believe that account for a high percentage of “orange-red” orb reports.

Back in 1993 or 1994 I lived in the town of Melrose, Park IL. It was a hot humid summer night. I was about 17 years old and siting in the backyard by myself. I was staring at the sky as I was looking in to space. I noticed a red dot like a bright red star coming towards Earth. That red dot or red star started to slow down, then stopped and as soon as it stopped it did like a check mark and disappeared into space. That as bothered me for the rest of my life. I am 46 years old and still I think about that. It was exactly like a check mark. It came and slowed down and then disappeared into space at incredible speed.
The red lights that I see are like glowing coals in the fire. They float real slow, but go out when you try to get closer to them.
Sorry it did.
I saw 3. My sighting was in York Springs, PA, United States. It was approximately 11:15 PM July, 2012. I was outside to smoke my last cigarettes when a red flash caught my eye. I looked up to see a red dot in the sky. As I watched a second dot flew in and hovered beside the second one. I was in awe and shock and to my surprise a third on flew in and hovered. They formed a triangle when they hovered. Then they all three became brighter and then were gone.
Hey I was just gonna say that I saw the same thing today around 9:35 PM and we looked at it. It was staying there for a bit, but then moved around and it disappeared. It then came back for some reason and another time there was another one and it just came down and flew straight up to space. It’s strange because it started leaving once we were looking at it like it saw us. Sorry if that don’t make sense, but it’s hard to explain.
Please omit my last name listed in my previous comment. Also, please provide the link to your site for my observation.

Hi:
No personal information should be posted on your comment.
This sounds very similar to the formation of large red lights I saw west of Gila Bend, AZ south of I-8.
Well I got something to say about those lights that they saw last night because my buddy and I saw those exact same lights as well just as they describe them we saw the same. After I saw them I couldn’t stop thinking about it because I know what we saw was real whatever it was.
