Description: The above link is is a short article about a sighting, published in social media by a Colombian pilot. The aircraft was flying at 30,000 ft when the crew noticed an object that was not registered in their flight pattern. Some people say it was a weather balloon or some other kind of high altitude balloon. But the metallic appearance and geometry of the object is quite intriguing. This is a really interesting video. For the people saying its a weather balloon are there current weather balloons that look like this?
Hi. This is no weather balloon. Weather balloons have a light brown (creme) color.
I checked out the video and this object isn’t “flying” in the sense we normally describe it. Somehow it’s maintaining altitude and direction opposite that of the aircraft. My wife and I saw something similar in 2005, but at low altitude, probably 200 to 300 feet over a canyon near Pismo Beach, CA. This object was black, in the shape of a 55 gallon oil drum, but much larger.
In fact the object may be stationary. It is hard to tell. It also could be moving in the same direction as the aircraft, but at slower speed.
The UFO is not stationary. At the very end of the clip, you can see it passing through the clouds. If the clouds were moving they would have to be moving extremely fast.
If anybody knows what a weather balloon is and what it’s not, I has to be you, sir! Of course there will be many who’ll go on thinking that this is a balloon of some sort, but that could be clarified in detailed interviews with the airline pilots to determine the object’s speed and direction of travel, etc. Thanks for speaking up when you needed to!
It is a nice video of UFO capture. It is hexagonal, rough surface with something of different color attached to one part of the object. It is too high for a conventional balloon I think. It is a dark gray color overall. We don’t get to see them this clear and up close very often.
I just wanted to clarify that the actual date of the sighting was 01/01/2020, according to the initial post made in TikTok by the pilot.
