Description: I just watched a very curious flying phenomena for 10 to 15 minutes from my backyard in Ballard about 10 PM for 10 or 15 minutes. I couldn’t see the shape of the vehicle, but a continuous red light with a certain amount of white flashing was clearly visible. The most remarkable thing was the highly irregular pattern of flight. It would move off to the east, but then ascend, and then later descend, but then hover and then take off rapidly in a straight shot to the west, and then come to a dead stop again, then reverse direction yet again more or less. The only thing I can think of that might begin to have this capacity is a helicopter, but the their maneuverability is much more sluggish that this was. This object seemed to be able to turn on a dime and head off in any direction at a whim. One sees planes and copters over head all the time in Seattle and so one is quite used to normal flight patterns & behaviors. I have never seen anything like this. It ended it’s flight by moving off to the south and dropping out of view, perhaps in the direction of Boeing. One thinks UFO of course which indeed it was in some manner. If it were some kind of drone, it would have had to have been a fairly large one. That is an excellent description of what we also saw tonight Thursday, September 6th in the sky over the Mt. Diablo area. I live in Brentwood, CA and went outside with my friend to view an iridium flare that I was alerted to on an app I have. As we looked up in the sky we saw a red ball of light in the not too far off distance, behaving just as this poster saw in the sky above Ballard, Washington. It was a very curious sight. The light we saw would periodically stop, hover, flashed a bright white light and then a bright green light. Then it did a broad circle and sort of swoop and stop. Then it sped off quickly and then come back a bit and did the same motions until it was out of our sight.
