Location of Sighting: Near Kimberly, Idaho
Date of Sighting: October 30, 2008
Time of Sighting: 7 PM MDT
Description: I was outside and just had stopped yard work. SW of Kimberly in the general direction of Venus. I saw a black and structured that seemed to be enveloped by rust colored cloud. Seconds later a brown stick rose vertically from the cloud moving right on up. It was so far away it was about 1/2 inch long. I looked through binoculars and the object resembled a brown stick, but the top end had an “acorn-like” cap. The base also widened and sloped to 4 to 5 times wider than the stick at the bottom.
I went inside to phone someone about the object. By the time I returned the object had presumably reached the clouds not far above. Many people were inside as harvest season was over. I sent this report to the local Twin Falls Idaho Newspaper 4 years after it happened. They did not print the report nor contact me.
My sighting was similar to a sighting of a “missile shaped” object in Lewiston, Idaho on July 8, 2008.
