February 19, 2012 – Manassas, Virginia – 11 PM EST

Description: My 11 year old daughter & I were driving home from my mom’s house on Feb. 19, 2012 at approximately 11:00 PM. We were traveling west on I-66 in between Fairfax & Manassas, VA. We saw something with large flat circular red lights angled down & in with a huge bright white spotlight in the middle of it, but a little higher than the red lights. It was moving very smoothly across the sky going south. Then it started going north just as smoothly. It did not turn around or jerk in any way it just switched directions kind of in a sweeping motion. Then it stopped above the trees near the battlefield in Manassas & the spotlight started slowly getting brighter & brighter & then it just went out. The red lights were still on & it hovered for a few seconds & then it very smoothly & very fast took off going North. I got off at the first Manassas exit towards the battlefields because we could see it in the distance. Sometimes we would lose sight of it behind trees, but never for more than a few seconds. We finally found a spot to pull off the road with a clear view of it. It was sweeping back & forth across the sky just like it had done over I-66. It looked like it was searching for something. After about 10 minutes a second object appeared above & in front of our car. It was about 100 feet up & 100 feet out in front of my windshield & blinked a large bright white light, kind of slowly 4 or 5 times then disappeared. We would have stayed longer, but a cop pulled into the area we were parked in & asked if we were OK. I told him yes. We just saw something strange in the sky & pulled over to try & get a better look at it. He said ok then we left. I don’t know what to make of this, but my daughter & I know without a doubt that it was NOT an airplane. Maybe it was a secret government aircraft. (We are right outside Washington, D.C.). This was not an airplane and not anything we have ever seen before!
