February 2, 2013 – Gauteng, South Africa – 8:30 PM Local Time

Description: My wife and I witnessed a really bizarre occurrence. It was about 8:30 PM. It was overcast and we saw what appeared to be 3 lights (approximately 20 meters in diameter) dart about frantically in the overcast sky. This part of the sky was different from the the overcast sky. The clouds were higher up. An area about the size of 2 football fields was steam like and lighter in color which seemed to envelope the area where the lights moved. There was no pattern to their movement. It was almost an oscillating movement, changing often and never seeming to repeat exactly the same sequence. The area that the movements happened was approximately the size of 2 football fields. There was no sound whatsoever. This continued for about an hour. It was almost as if the sky was less dense when it stopped. This is a farming area and away from anything really. We have debated this over and over and cannot come up with any rational explanation.

Has anyone ever come across something like this?
