Location of Sighting: Tamworth, New Hampshire
Date of Sighting: July 23, 2019
Time of Sighting: 10:50 PM EDT
Description: I saw a glowing orange object pretty circular, but not well defined descending while traveling SE to NW at a steady pace, but not fast. It caught my eye over the lake as it descended and headed in my direction. I began to think it was some major fireball about to crash into earth close by, but as it reached the top of tall pitch pines it suddenly stopped right above us. My 10 year old was terrified and hid in the car, but I watched it move in front of me right to left a couple times then it moved to over the empty campsite across from us and literally “hid” behind a group of trees. I could still see the orange glow and then after about maybe 30 seconds it “peeked” out from behind the trees, and quickly went back. Then it quickly peeled out the other side and back and then it just “went out.” From the ground I guess it was the size of a large yoga ball. The light seemed to be moving in someway kind of like a swirling blob of fire.
