January 9, 2013 – Medford, Oregon – 5:45 PM PST

Description: I witnessed these same lights, however there were more than 5 to 15. There were about 40 per event. There were two events and both events lasted about 30 minutes. The first event was from NE to SW. There were approximately 40 lights. These lights trailed in a line. The lights changed altitude, speed and direction. There was no sound originating from these lights. The second event was from NW to SE. It was the same type of action, changed altitude, direction and speed. I have a few photos, but not any of them in a large group. I forgot I had my phone camera with me until at least 20 minutes into the event. I am a retired Navy man and I am very familiar with aircraft and their capabilities. These were no fixed wing aircraft. I thought maybe helicopters, but no helicopter squadron travels in such large numbers, in the cold and with their white landing lights on. There were no reports in local news or newspapers.
