Location of Sighting: Moreno Valley, California
Date of Sighting: October 16, 2020
Time of Sighting: 8:50 PM PDT
Description: A couple saw a large bright stationary light in the southern sky that was pulsating. The light was about 30 degrees above the horizon. The light would fade in and out. The witnesses first thought that the light was an aircraft, but realized that it was not. Aircraft were seen flying by the light. When an aircraft approached the light, the light would fade out. The witnesses watched the light over one hour and it never changed position. It continued to fade in and out. Skies were completely clear in the area.
Note: A check of astronomical tables showed that the planet Jupiter was nearly in the exact position where the witnesses saw the object. The fading in and out could have been due to thin high clouds.
