Time of Sighting: Around 9 PM PDT
Description: A man recalled being outside on a clear summer night near sunset. He saw a bright orange spherical orb that was surrounded by a red-purple color layer. He thought that the orb was at about 100 feet distance and about 100 feet up from the ground. The orb appeared to be either intelligent or under intelligent control. The orb blinked out abruptly in about 4 seconds. The orb was silent. The witness called and reported his encounter several months after occurrence.
