Description: I have a photo of something that I cannot explain. I was taking photos of the sunset from an iron age hillfort in Sussex 786 feet above sea level at 20:30 on 15th of May 2014. My camera was on zoom.
I took 5 photos with an interval of 4 seconds between each. When I put them on my PC there was a perfectly smooth bright orange egg shaped object (on only one of them) moving away from the sun.
I want to send you the photos, because I want to know what it is. I have asked photographers, who have no explanation at all. I am baffled.
Note: Sometimes dark spots will appear in photos taken into the Sun. However, generally these spots are smaller and symmetrical. It is also intriguing that the spot showed in only 1 of a series of photos taken a few seconds apart. The witness did send the other photos and the spot does not appear. Analysis also indicates it quite unlikely that the photo was fabricated.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
