Navy Veteran Corroborates UFO Sighting in Guam, 1974.

Description: I just came across the incident posted by P.D. Miller that occurred on Guam fall of 1974. Both he and I served in the same department, S-3, Engineering, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction. Battalion 74. I recall the incident clearly. Phil, or “P.D.” as he was referred to, was visibly shaken when he returned to our “hooch”. I had heard rumors of unusual sightings/experiences that same evening.

Note: P.D. Miller (wanted name used in report) submitted a report to UFOs Northwest In December of 2009 of an account where he encountered a strange light and had a missing time episode. He was in the Seabees and was stationed in Guam. The incident happened in October, 1974. Click here to read J.D’s original report.

There was a well-documented sighting of a visiting UFO at Naval Station Guam at the time of a visit by the USS Long Beach and one other cruiser during the summer, I believe it was the summer of 1973. A friend of mine, an engineering major from New Mexico State, was down at the message center to transmit data from the satellite tracking station in the wee hours of the morning. And there, hovering above the Long Beach (and a few nuclear subs) was this UFO. George freaked – was scared spitless, and went back to the BOQ and told his roommates about it. They told me about it at breakfast and I pressed him for details at lunch. The civilian newspaper (Pacific Daily News) told of many people that sighting it. The Navy’s response? Nothing happened.

There has been many other sightings like this over the years especially pilots. As I have said before we are being visited now and in the past. It is too bad that there are so many sites that simply make UFO sightings just to attract followers. There needs to be more sites like this one that are honest in their reporting.

Thanks for the comments. The primary witness has documentation to prove that he was stationed in Guam. The person commenting knew the witness and recalled the sighting plus other sightings.

My name is Phil Miller, the one that posted the story on the UFO incident in Oct 74 on Guam. As I have not visited this site in quite some time, I had not known about one of my old Navy buddies reporting this verification. Regrettably, he didn’t leave his name. But from the way the article ran, I am pretty sure I know who it was. Anyway, thanks ol buddy. Us UFO nuts need some verification from time to time.
