Description: Hey I saw a blue ball or globe. It would be best described as an orb falling down, like a ball of blue light? I didn’t see a tail on it. It’s really dark right now. As dark a city could get. I have never seen this before. I am 19 and don’t know any astronomy. I wanted to call 911 to inform them I was so excited ha ha. It was a sight to see. So it happened around 2:08 AM. It was falling down toward the ground, not going across the sky, for like 3 seconds? I didn’t hear a bang or loud noise and my window is closed. It was very neat. Maybe it was blue because of the heat.

This is a fine report from a person who keeps their eyes open! And yes, it could have been a meteor or a “boloid” (a slow motion meteor), but this person must have noticed a distinct difference in the astronomical objects that he’s seen in the past and this sighting. My own son saw just such an object one early morning here in Louisiana. But make no mistake there are definitely some more than unusual things that move around in the Bay Area skies, so keep your eyes open and thanks for your report!
