Oblong, Maroon, Dark Object Blended in With Night Sky.

Description: I saw an oblong, maroon colored, but dark object that blended in with the night sky. The sighting started by my noticing one single yellow/orange half-circle light, followed in a line by a second and a third. They lit up from right to left. Then it completely vanished and made no noise. The view was from the balcony of Long Beach facing the ocean.
