October 16, 2012 – Surrey, British Columbia, Canada – 6:55 PM PDT

Description: My son and I saw this very bright light moving across the sky in a Northeast direction. It had the size, colour, brightness and appearance of Venus. It was moving fairly fast, although it did stop a couple of times, and it looked like it split into two objects while it was not moving. Then it merged together and continued moving. I tried to snap a photo with my cheap cellphone, but nothing clear came out. I had to get in the car and drive so I did not see for more than 1 minute.

Note: The International Space Station (ISS) was visible near the time of the sighting. The ISS also moved in the direction indicated by the witness.
