Description: The witness was deer hunting with 2 others. They were all three in a camper. One of the witnesses exited the camper to go to the bathroom. He at once noticed three bright lights (about size of a pencil eraser held at arm’s length). Each of the lights were moving in concentric circles. The lights were in the north, west and east and were in the shape of an equilateral triangle. The lights in the east and west began dropping green flare-like objects in groups of 3 or 4 that would flash orange and then disappear. The lights would abruptly change position and move laterally. The witness summoned the other two hunters to view the sighting. One of the hunters became very frightened and immediately climbed into the camper. The sighting lasted several minutes and was still occurring when the other two witnesses went into the camper and retired for the night. The witness said that another person in Waterville saw the lights. The witness said that the birds became very excited after the lights appeared. Skies were clear and it was very windy at the time of the sighting. The witness thought that winds were gusting up to 35 MPH.
Note: Strange lights have been observed for years in the Waterville, Washington area. The source of these lights has not been determined. The lights seem to peak in the summer months. It is not known if the above sighting is related to the Waterville lights.Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting.
