Photo Taken of Circular Pattern of Lights in Night Sky.

Location of Sighting: Shakopee, Minnesota
Date of Sighting: August 24, 2015
Time of Sighting: 9:17 PM CDT

Description: A co worker of mine took this photo 2 nights ago in Shakopee, MN. It looks to be the same as the one you posted. Has anyone determined what this may be?
Note: An almost identical photo was taken in Chanhassen, Minnesota on August 9, 2015. Click here to read this report. A check of weather conditions showed that skies were overcast with cloud bases at 6,000 feet. Also the photo seems to show ground lights shining into the sky. Perhaps this could be a reflection of ground lights off of the clouds?

Yep. These lights are formed by the searchlights at Mystic Lake Casino in Shakopee, Minnesota (not far from Bloomington). Anyone who lives in Shakopee knows these lights. They actually form the shape of a tee-pee, but, because of the fog, you can’t see the actual top of the tee-pee. Geez. Chill out. I’m a UFO believer, but these lights are no UFO. Nothing to see here. Move along!

It is casino lights. Yesterday when I saw it it was cool, but then turned scary.
