Description: My wife, daughter and I were outside banging pots and pans for the new year of 2016 when we heard a strange deep sound that I now relate to UFO’s entering our atmosphere. Shortly after the sound, three flickering lights appeared. They were pinkish almost purplish in color in a triangle shape. They moved across the sky in a southerly direction until out of sight. I have video. I was interested in your thoughts on the video or if anyone else reported in the area at that time?

Please excuse the audio, I was a little tipsy and excited. I am sure the Internet would have field day. It’s a little cheesy. I also was recording at least 30 seconds before I realized I was not recording and not to mention I found out that I am not a great videographer. the lights where definitely different in real life than in the video.

Note: Fireworks can be heard in the background on the video. However, the lights are not likely related to the fireworks. Also the witness comments when taking the video that the lights are not a drone. I agree.

Note to Commenters: If you are reporting a sighting, be sure to include the location (city, state, country), date and time of your sighting. Be detailed in your description. You may also use our report form to report your sighting. Comments will only be published if they are in "good taste" and not inflammatory. Also the name that you list in the comment will be posted. Use abbreviations or aliases if you don't want your name listed.

I’m not sure what I had seen on a cool fall evening, but it was around 2 years ago. Has anyone ever reported a star looking light that seem to just get brighter and brighter for a period of May 8 to 10 seconds then one large, bright flash and then just disappear??
